These permutations have also forced Apple to change the way the Control Center is unveiled. This automatically triggered a lot of changes in the way iOS 11 works on the iPhone X because all the Home button functions had to be re-assigned and replaced by various swipe gestures and Side button actions. Of course, that the biggest and obvious change is the disappearance of the Home button which vanished to make room for the spectacular bezel-less screen. Perhaps one the changes that you have the most difficult time to accommodate to when upgrading to Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone is the way you invoke the Control Center. To some, the normal charging speed is fast enough for everyday use, but if you are someone who is busy, on-the-go, or using your phone a lot and need a quick way to fill up to 20 or 30%, then fast-charging may be a necessity for you.IPhone X Control Center. After 30 seconds, try plugging the cord into your iPhone again and it should chime twice.Įven if the above tips have not helped you, you can always keep track of your charging times and compare to Apple's claims of 50% in 30 minutes. You can reset by unplugging your iPhone from the charger and waiting at least 30 seconds. Keep in mind that if you don't hear the second chime while using the right cable and adapter for fast-charging, you may still be able to fast charge your iPhone. In fast charging mode, you should hear a second chime sounding a second or two after the first chime. Using a normal cable and adapter like the ones that come in a new iPhone box, there should only be one chime noise emitted from the phone to signal normal charging. One way you can tell is through the chime or ding your iPhone makes when the cable is plugged in. How do you tell if your iPhone is in fast-charging mode? Unfortunately, Apple has not made an easy on-screen message for indicating fast-charging status. Once you have the two required items, fast charging is as simple as plugging the adapter into a wall outlet then connecting the USB-C to Lightning cable to your iPhone.
